I've been saving this one especially for Valentine's Day.
This is another one of my collaborations with Mike Altman based off of a story concept and sketch that I came up with after hearing a description of a new artificial heart. The heart, which was the first self-contained artificial heart, was described as looking like a tuba. The musical comparison caught my imagination, and I ended up throwing in a bits of plumbing, bombs, and lockets. The story, called "Tin Man's Heart" is about a boy who grows up with an artificial heart and needs to plug himself in everyday to survive.

I'm in Ft. Worth, man if you ever wanna hang. There is a group of comic artists and stuff that get together once a month if you want to go hang out with more artists.

If you want, e-mail me at steve@galgas.com. I'm absolutely flattered that you like my gallery!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

The highest reward for man's toil is not what he gets for it, but what he becomes by it.
